Pinot Noir IGP Loire Valley

The Vines

Single vineyard estate with vines of 20 to 40 years old.

Terroir

IGP Loire Valley, located in the village of Marigny Brizay, vines are planted on limestone soils.

Vinification

Grapes are picked at full maturation and are put directly in stainless steel vats for "cool” maceration for 5 days at 10 ° C. This is followed by fermentation for 12 days at 25° C with daily stirring, “pigeage” and constant sampling in order to extract the maximum of fruity flavors, dyes(anthocyane) and tannins from the skin of the grapes. The process finishes with malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats.

Tasting Notes

Mature red berry flavors of cherry, kirsch, and raspberry mixed with vanilla and spices. Harmonious and balanced with a plump fruitiness and silky texture which are offset by round, gentle tannins. Medium body and an elegant structure.

Food Pairings

Chicken Tarragon or Garlic Roast Beef Tenderloin.
