The Maison Idiart ARTISANAL approach to winemaking
It all starts with the wine.
“I feel lucky to be able to deliver terroir driven wines by working with growers in
sought out after IGP’s and AOP’s as well as using natural yeasts. I try to adapt my
winemaking techniques to these said terroirs in order for each grape variety to fully
express itself. I like to experiment, trying new techniques and pushing the limits.”
-Nicolas Idiart
Maison Idiart Wines
Our portfolio includes wines from the Loire Valley, the Côtes du Rhône, Bordeaux and the Languedoc-Roussillon French wine growing regions. We also offer wine from New Zealand!
Our Philosophy
Our winemaker and founder, Nicolas Idiart, has a taste for adventure and always up for a challenge! Excited by new projects and ways to make innovations in the industry, he maintains an artisanal approach to winemaking to produce terroir expressive wines.
WINE ON TAP
More fresh, more environmentally friendly and more cost-effective.
At Maison Idiart we also offer a range of our premium wines in keg format. We love the sustainable component of our wine in kegs which reduces our carbon footprint by 96% !
Benefits of “Wine on Tap”
Wine on tap utilizes cost savings at all levels, from the manufacturer, retailer, and consumer. With wine on tap, bottle, cork, and carton costs are eliminated. Costs of waste from throwing away oxidized wine are also decreased. Transport costs are significantly reduced as well, as the same amount of wine weighs significantly more in bottles than in a keg. Further, the disposable one way kegs require even less transportation than steel kegs because they are disposable and recyclable.
WINE IN HAND
Convenient, approachable and portable, without having to sacrifice quality.
Maison Idiart has jumped on the Canned wine band wagon and what a ride! We started with a crisp and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand. More to come!
Why canned wine?
Canned wine is great if you're planning to bring a little booze on a picnic, poolside party, or to the beach. ... Canned wine tends to be inexpensive, and if you're trying to do your bit to reduce your carbon footprint, a can does offer some recycling benefits over a glass bottle.
